Holy Shit! Tammy thought as she examined her body. Okay, her name is James, or at least it was a few minutes ago before the vortex hit the school. Still it was all planned. The vortex was tracked. Several of the guys decided to leave the shielded area and experience the awesome transformation the vortex performs.

It happened so fast James could not tell the transformation happened. One moment he was James, the next Tammy. James always wanted to be a Tammy. It felt so sexy. No longer a geek no one notices, Tammy knows she will be a popular girl in school. She looks at her waist and tests out her breasts. Awesome!

There were a few concerns about the transformation. A vortex does not tell you what kind of body you get. It is usually a very sexy body, but a few guys have been disappointed. Not James. He is happier than a pig in shit.

There is something James did not realize. The vortex does more than change the body, it changes the mind. Tammy felt an unquenchable lust for a boyfriend. By the weekend he had a date and got laid. Elaine loved walking the fields of Elysium, a world so beautiful many consider it on par with the afterlife. Jako made a lot of enemies on Earth; he also made a lot of money. When you have as many enemies as Jako you need money to stay alive. A long successful career (with the accompanying victims) gave Jako the opportunity to retire to the quiet life he always wanted without pesky victims showing up bent on revenge.

On Elysium you can be anyone you want as long as you have the money. The Elysium Council discovered how to capture and control a vortex, a bubble of distorted space where anything that passes through exits as a woman. Vortexes have been the bane of any planet unlucky enough, or lucky if you like that sort of thing, to be plagued by them.

Jako paid his dues to the Elysium government and walked through the vortex and into a simple life of comfort and pleasure. Many still search for the Macco, but none have found him. Some say he lives on a planet somewhere near the galactic core, others, on a planet in the Sagittarius Arm. But we know better. Jako is walking the warm fields of Elysium enjoying the beauty and comfort he earned. Elaine is a woman for the ages.

Now What?

Brad always wanted to travel to Selban III, a planet near the fringe of inhabited space. Selban is known for its exotic vistas and deep azure sky. There were a few risks traveling to Selban, however. The planet is in a known pathway of vortex bubbles in the region. The low population of the planet means there are few shelters when vortexes show up unannounced.

Brad booked passage anyway; it was his dream vacation. He stayed in the city the first few days where more shelters were available. The great news was Selban was in a lull; it had been weeks since a vortex hit the planet. He planned a day at the natural history museum to get ideas of what to visit on the planet. As he walked up the stairs he was hit by a vortex bubble. It was a small bubble as far as vortexes go, but big enough to wipe out Brad’s manhood.

Brad sat on the stairs of the museum and took a deep breath. He had a plan if such an event took place. He would change his name to Marie and go ahead and enjoy his vacation anyway. The neat thing is over 80% of the people on the planet are female. Accidents happen even to the local. Marie fit right in.

The Last Gift

The vortex swarm of Christmas Eve goes down as one of the biggest surprises in history. Weather usually makes the news over the holidays. The vortex swarm came unannounced. Scientists missed it (probably snookered on eggnog) so most people were unshielded.

Guys like Samson considered it the greatest gift of all time. Samson went to bed Christmas Eve unaware vortex bubbles were on the way. Y’all know what vortex bubbles do? Right? No? Okay, I’ll give you the short version. Vortex bubbles are areas of null space travelling the cosmos. Several years ago they entered Earth’s neighborhood. The null space of the bubbles turns all mammalian life female. It affects humans most. An unshielded human male is instantly transformed into a girl if touched by a passing vortex bubble.

Samson woke up Christmas morning having slept on the couch. (If he had slept in his bed he probably would have been untouched by the vortex bubble.) He couldn’t believe the red outfit he was wearing. Samson started smiling at the late Christmas gift. He realized what had happened. Those wonderful vortexes finally gave him his wish.

Kylie. Samson laughed as he said his new name. He was so going to love this body.
