Pay the Piper

Stress at work has Mike losing sleep at night. The long hours without a day off were taking their toll. Finally, Mike had no choice but to take sleeping pills. He saw an ad for a new over the counter brand that promised to make you a whole new person. It was just what Mike needed.

He popped the maximum dose in his mouth and washed them down with a swallow of water. Mike could feel his mind letting go and drifting off to sleep by the time his head hit the pillow. It was the deepest and most refreshing sleep he had in years.

The next morning he woke bright eyed and bushy tailed when he noticed something different. He looked at the bottle of sleeping pills and read all the instructions this time. Of course!
